Happily Ever Rounder

Bretta + Reece

Bretta and Reece’s wedding was one out of a fairy tale ✨ Elegant and classy complete with lots of ivory and gorgeous greenery. After a long distance relationship these two couldn’t wait to make it official and start their new adventure together…you could see it all over their faces.

The ceremony was held at Oak Hill Bible Fellowship Church. The same church that the groom’s grandparents were married in 70 years ago to the day! I just love that sentimental detail ❤️ The day was perfect aside from the weather…it was raining cats and dogs and really made us battle it out for photos. Although it was hectic there was not one ounce of stress. A different bride might have let the rain ruin her day but not Bretta…and not the rest of the bridal party! They were so laid back and we all  had such a great time!

The reception was held at an old post office downtown Evansville…how cool is that?! The architectural details were so beautiful. Even with the crazy weather the venue had a great porch that we were able to get some amazing shots on…at the expense of my amazing assistant. Kacy stood in the rain and held an umbrella over me! We (mostly her) were soaked by the end of it but it ended up being so fun and a great memory…and the shots we got were certainly worth it.

We did something a little different during Bretta and Reece’s journey to the altar. I gave my bride and groom some homework to find out a little bit more about their relationship and their anticipations for the big day…enjoy getting to know the Rounders a little more...

How did you meet?

Her answer:

One Friday night in February, my friend Nina and I went out to the Piston’s Bar in Evansville. Nina and I were on the dance floor when one of my high school friends, Joel, came up to me and said he wanted to introduce me to one of his friends. Reece asked for my number the weekend after that. He did NOT text me for three days after that. Once he finally texted me, I was so irritated that he waited so long to text me that I purposely didn’t reply for about 45 min.

How did you propose?

His answer:

We got engaged on Easter of 2017. We spent Easter with her parents in the morning. Her parents were leaving “to go home” but they were actually going to my parents to hide to see the proposal. We went to my parent’s house where we were taking pictures on the dock at my parent’s pond. During the pictures, I proposed in front of my family and her parents watching from the basement.

What Is Your Favorite Date Night?

Her Answer:

Dinner at either a Mexican restaurant or Pub By Nova in Bowling Green then going home to snuggle on the couch to watch a movie.

His Answer:

Getting food to go, going home and putting on our sweats and spending time with one another.

What photo/moment are you most excited about your day?

Her Answer:

Capturing the first time my dad and Reece see me.

His Answer:

Our first look

Without any further ado...Mr. and Mrs. Rounder...

I enjoyed every minute of my time on your big day! Your love for one another is so evident and a blessing to watch and capture...
