Mr. and Mrs. Allen’s wedding this past weekend was nothing short of a romantic and gorgeous affair! It was everything you could dream of in a spring wedding 🌺
Being that Carolyn’s father is a Colonel in the air force, the ceremony and reception were held at Scott Air Force base just outside of St. Louis. The details made the day ✨ From the table settings, to the bride’s engraved pocket watch gifted to her groom (he LOVED it), to the monogramed rally towels to greet the couple to the reception. Carolyn also enjoyed her something borrowed from her grandmother…a family heirloom pin paired with a sweet hand written note 💕
Possibly the most memorable moment of the day was the bride and groom’s first look. After getting to know Carolyn and Doug, you notice real quickly how they are simply best friends. I tend to notice the groom’s response most during the “first look.” His gorgeous Carolyn of course blew the groom away, but it was the bride’s reaction that I noticed most…Carolyn’s demeanor immediately changed when she got to see her groom. Her nerves from the day disappeared…she just needed to see her best friend
The weather was questionable all morning until the ceremony was just about to start and then the clouds rolled away giving the couple perfect blue skies and a warm sun…the ceremony and celebration went off without a hitch! We were able to capture all these gorgeous shots throughout the day...you'll notice a sweet dog named Sophie in the mix. Carolyn and Doug were sure to include Sophie in their engagement photos, and their wedding photos were no different! Originally Carolyn's, the ole girl is now a special part of the little Allen family.
Carolyn and Doug, thank you for letting us be a witness to such pure love! Congratulations!
